Former Ford Executive to Join Advisory Board of Lap Belt Cinch, Inc.

24 05 2010

“CG-Lock technology represents an important advance in automotive safety…”

Ft WASHINGTON, PA – May 24, 2010 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Lap Belt Cinch, Inc. (LBC), developer of the CG-Lock technology and maker of the proprietary, crash tested CG-Lock and SeatSnug aftermarket devices for enhancing performance of seat belts to enhance user safety, announced today that AJ Wagner has been appointed to the LBC Executive Advisory Board. Wagner is a former automotive executive and is now President and CEO of AJ Wagner Associates, a business consulting organization.

Wagner retired from Ford Motor Company at the end of 2006 after an illustrious 34 year career, where he was President of Ford Motor Credit Company North America and a Vice President of Ford. Prior to becoming President of Ford Credit, he held positions within Ford Credit in leasing, marketing, dealer credit, operations services, field operations and strategic planning. During his career at Ford, he also served as a Field Operations Manager and a Regional Sales Manager. Additionally, he served on three Company Boards: Ford Motor Credit Company; Ford Credit Canada, where he was Chairman of the Board; and Ford Direct LLC. He also served on the Board of Lithia Motors, where he was Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee. Wagner currently serves on the Board of Directors of Walter Energy, a public company, and on the Boards of two privately held companies, Gold Mobile Group and Inilex. Wagner possesses a bachelor’s degree in finance for the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Detroit.

In welcoming Wagner on board, Chuck Carter, CEO of LBC stated, “We are extremely pleased to have AJ join our team. He is a dynamic individual, with a proven record of success, who is highly regarded and respected in the auto industry, as well as in industry in general. Because of his strong background in management, finance, credit, operations and strategic planning, he brings a new dimension to our Advisory Board and will bring broad-based insight, vision and guidance to our management team as we seek to expand the markets for our CG-Lock and SeatSnug products and as we seek to gain recognition for the original equipment versions of our technology within the automotive industry.”

In joining the LBC Executive Advisory Board, Wagner stated “The CG-Lock technology represents an important advance in automotive safety and I am pleased to become associated with such a revolutionary technology. The CG-Lock and SeatSnug products are unique and can easily be added to an existing seat belt to enhance user safety. I am also pleased to associate with a management team and an Advisory Board dedicated to improving automotive safety.”

The CG-Lock improves overall seat belt performance to enhance driver control and to enhance the safety and comfort of the user. The CG-Lock was originally developed as an aftermarket product for the performance driving market and was used by stunt drivers in the racing scenes of several recent motion pictures, including James Bond’s Quantum of Solace and National Treasure II.

SeatSnug, LBC’s first consumer oriented aftermarket product, is initially being targeted to enhance the safety, stability and comfort of children riding in booster seats who are not safely secured by the regular seat belt attachment. By maintaining the seat belt in position at the time of an accident, SeatSnug optimizes seat belt performance to reduce the risk of injury to children. Crash tests have also validated SeatSnug for use by older post-booster seat children and adults. LBC plans to introduce an adult version of Seatsnug in 2010. Recipient of The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval and featured on ABC and the Fox News TV channels, SeatSnug is now available in a growing number of retail locations around the U.S. as shown on its website at www.seatsnug.com.

Lap Belt Cinch, Inc. is the developer and patent holder of CG-Lock technology. Its aftermarket products, the CG-Lock and SeatSnug, are designed to enhance driver control, improve safety, reduce the risk of injuries in vehicular accidents and save lives.
