MARGANTOWN, WV – May 26, 2010 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Racer Productions, producers of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series are pleased to announce that American Suzuki Motor Corp. has offered Josh Strang’s 2010 RM-Z450, the bike he competes on in the GNCC series, to Racer Productions. “Josh is off to an incredible start and the rumor mill is buzzing that he is on some “Factory exotica,” said Mike Webb, Off Road Race Team Manager. “Well, the truth is that Josh is on a production 2010 RM-Z450, with exactly the same bike and aftermarket accessories available to anyone. The only way to prove this is by letting one lucky fan walk away with his race bike immediately after the Snowshoe round and American Suzuki is thrilled with the proceeds of the Racer Productions raffle going to The RiderDown Foundation.”

“We couldn’t be more excited,” said Bruce Vermeulen, President of RiderDown Foundation.  “To have Josh Strang’s 2010 race bike up for grabs and benefitting RiderDown is unbelievable.  The support of guys like Josh who are out there campaigning the GNCC series means a lot to us and the injured riders we work with.  My hat’s off to Racer Productions and American Suzuki for making this happen.”

Raffle tickets can be purchased during the next three rounds of GNCC Racing, beginning with this weekend’s Motorcycle-USA.com Yadkin Valley Stomp. The winner will be announced at Snowshoe, and the bike handed off to the winner after Strang crosses the finish line.

“American Suzuki is proud of the accomplishment that Josh has made so far and to be able to prove that the 2010 RM-Z450 is not only a championship caliber motocrosser but a race winning off-road bike,” said Pat Alexander, American Suzuki’s Amateur Race Support Manager.

The series travels this weekend to the Motorcycle-USA.com Yadkin Valley Stomp, held May 8-9 in Yadkinville, North Carolina. ATVs race on Saturday, and bikes race on Sunday.

VP Racing Fuels Named Official Fuel of Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series

24 02 2010

MORGANTOWN, WV – February 23, 2010 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Racer Productions, producers of the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series, is excited to announce that VP Racing Fuels is the Official Fuel of GNCC Racing under a three-year agreement beginning with the 2010 season.

“VP has long been a leader in the motorcycling industry and we are happy to introduce them as our new fuel sponsor for the 2010 season,” said Dean Van Leeuwen, GNCC sponsor coordinator. “Many of our racers are already familiar with the increased power and consistency of VP fuels and we’re confident they’ll appreciate having VP’s products readily available at the track.”

VP will have fuel available on site at all 13 rounds, including its new U4.4, MRX01 and C12, along with other VP specialty blends.  VP will kick off its sponsorship this weekend at the Parts Unlimited River Ranch GNCC at the Westgate River Ranch GNCC in Lake Wales, Florida.

“We’re thrilled about partnering with GNCC,” said Steve Scheidker, VP’s Director of Marketing and Communications.  “VP has been a strong supporter of motorcycle and ATV racing for many years, fueling numerous championships across North America and around the world, so it’s a natural fit for VP to be the Official Fuel of GNCC Racing.”

“The nation’s premier off-road series, GNCC provides the perfect venue for VP to promote its leading edge fuels, in particular its newest blend for powersports—U4.4,” Scheidker added.  “U4.4 offers up to 6% more power than premium pump gas, better throttle response and more resistance to heat, offering the biggest gain vs. cost of any performance part a GNCC competitor can put on a bike or ATV.”

Racers with questions about specific VP fuels available at the River Ranch event should contact VP-Southeast in Ft. Lauderdale at 954-565-7670.  Technical questions about VP fuels can directed to VP Tech Support at 210-241-1192 or MotorcycleTech@vpracingfuels.com.
