USA (SSI) has relocated its headquarters and west coast distribution facility to Santa Fe Springs, California. Managing Director, John Kim states “the new facility is configured perfectly for our needs and will ultimately help efficiencies in all areas of our business, especially warehousing”. The Scorpion east coast distribution center in Louisville, Kentucky will continue to operate as normal.

The office space is also configured for efficiency in all aspects and has separate, designated areas for different departments. Product Manager, Michael MacGregor says “the new and spacious Product Development/ R&D center will be a great help in continuing to produce innovative Scorpion products and ultimately reach our goals as a company”.

Scorpion Unveils TCT™ Technology in the New EXO-1100

LAKE FOREST, CA – October 5, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Scorpion’s EXO-1100 is a true technological triumph. Intended to build on the legacy of the top-of-the-line EXO-1000, this next-generation helmet really does establish a new benchmark. Starting with the exclusive TCT™ (Thermodynamical Composite Technology) shell construction process and featuring a revised EPS liner, the EXO-1100 is entirely new, inside and out.

MacGregor Joins Scorpion

Industry Veteran Now At “The Nest”

LAKE FOREST, CA – August 9, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Noting that he is fortunate to have his passion become his profession, industry veteran Michael MacGregor has signed on as the Product Manager for Scorpion Sports, Inc. In his new role, the avid street and off-road rider will handle product development for both helmets and ExoWear apparel, not to mention running the racer support and PR/marketing functions.

“I caught motorcycle fever in the sixth grade when I moved from the city out to the country in Agoura Hills,” admits MacGregor. Law Enforcement Edition EXO-900 Introduced

LAKE FOREST, CA – July 11, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) Scorpion has busted out with a “Law Enforcement Edition” of their popular EXO-900 helmet. Available in the standard “H” pattern, the new police special meet the specifications of most motorcycle officer programs in the nation. Speaking of flip-up, the entire chinbar and exclusive no-fog EverClear® shield section flips up as one piece. Tornado Puts a Twist on Traditional Jackets

LAKE FOREST, CA – June 23, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Scorpion’s Tornado textile jacket puts a new spin on the traditional motorcycle jacket, combining top features with incredibly low prices. “This jacket has it all… waterproofing, CE-approved armor, you name it,” says Scorpion Sports Inc. National Sales Manager Jon Eide. “The range of features we have incorporated into the Tornado for a price well under $200 really does blow me away.”

Starting with durable 600-denier nylon, the outershell is then treated with polyurethane for true water resistance, no matter how inclement the riding conditions may get. Internally, the fully removable AirGuard liner helps prevent wind chill from becoming a factor. When things do warm up, Scorpion’s AirVent™ ventilation system kicks in. Consisting of two zippered high-flow air intake panels in the front of the jacket and two matching rear vents, airflow over the body’s core is maximized when the panels are unzipped. Should it get chilly, simply zip-up to seal out any unwanted airflow.

Speaking of sealing things up, Scorpion’s exclusive ExoStitch® seams not only improve the seal, but also keep cuffs from fraying or seams for giving way. “It is this attention to detail that really differentiates the Tornado,” claims Jon.
