Can-Am will return as the title sponsor of the GNCC Series for the fifth year in a row. In addition, feature sponsors for 2011 include Amsoil, FMF, ITP, Maxxis, Moose Racing, MotoSport.com, Parts Unlimited, Pirelli, VP Fuel and Wiseco.

“We at GNCC Racing have a great appreciation for the involvement and generosity of our many sponsors,” said GNCC Director, Tim Cotter. “Without the continued support from our sponsors, fans would not receive the high-quality events or television coverage that they’ve come to expect from the GNCC Series,” Cotter added.

That includes Can-Am demo rides, as well as Parts Unlimited’s famous rider appreciation dinners at four select GNCC events. Casey Martin Makes History on his Factory Polaris Rath Outlaw 450 MXR

8 07 2010

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – July 6, 2010 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Polaris Rath Rider Casey Martin continues his relentless assault at the AMA ATV Motocross ATV National, at Pleasure Valley, in Armagh, Penn. Martin piloted his Outlaw 450 MXR to two first place Motos winning the Pro Am Production class and putting Polaris in the top position on the Podium.

Martin started his unstoppable charge early by setting some of the fastest lap times in practice. His Polaris Outlaw 450 MXR had been dialed into near perfection by his mechanic Dave Porter powered by a Baldwin Motorsports motor, and with suspension expertise from Fox Shox. The momentum this team is building is undeniable this season and once again they find themselves making a little history. This was the first AMA Pro Am MX win for the Factory Polaris/Rath Team. It was clear Martin charged from the second that gate dropped until he reached the checkers in both Moto’s going 1-1 and taking the overall win. Martin currently sits in third place in the seasons overall championship points standings.

When asked about his stellar performance this weekend Martin stated, “It was awesome to be able to put this Polaris on top, I knew what I had to do this weekend and as the race went on I knew my chances of winning were there and I didn’t want to get over excited. I just kept reminding myself to ride smart until the checkers flew. We have done all the right things to this Polaris Outlaw, I know I will finish out the year strong.”

Dave Porter who has been Martin’s mechanic all season added, “In talking with Daryl Rath I told him I had some really good ideas that would put some more power to the ground, we agreed and it turned out my ideas were spot on. I am excited for Martin, Polaris and Rath Racing and myself for being able to be part of something like this. Martin works so hard and has always had the best attitude, he is one of the best if not the best rider I have ever worked with.” Daryl Rath went on to add, “I spoke to Casey Saturday night and he told me he felt he had the speed after practice to put together a win this weekend and was going to make me proud. He did exactly that, everybody on our team should be proud, we have all worked very hard to put together a winning program for Polaris, our sponsors, Martin and our team. I am comfortable knowing that Porter will do what it takes to keep Martin on the podium for the remainder of this season.”

Martin currently sits in third place in the seasons overall championship points standings for the Pro Am Production Class. This class has been stacked with competition with full gates and qualifying every round. There are currently three rounds remaining in this series with the next showing at the Unadilla, in New Berlin, NY, July 17-18.
