Electric Moto Announces U.S. Government Approval Of Second Patent

15 05 2013

CONGERS, NY – May 14, 2013 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Electric Moto Corporation, Inc. (OTCMarkets/Pink Sheets: EMOT) announced today that it had received official notification from the U.S. Patent Office that a second application “has been examined and is allowed for issuance as a patent.”

Brian Belton , Director of R&D for EMOT, explained that this is the second of the innovations that United States Alternative Energy, LLC. licensed exclusively to EMOT.

According to Belton, “The patent applications began almost three years ago. EMOT provided the capital for the technology, as well as for the various business services— legal and accounting— that were necessary.”  Belton went on to describe this patent as applicable to the configuration and type of batteries that would be used with electric motors, one of the most significant areas of innovation in the evolution of electric vehicles. “The power system covered by this patent will increase length of battery life, increase longevity between charges, and greatly enhance top end power. These are among the most important factors that separate one electric vehicle from all the others.”

The prior patent was for a device that significantly increased the cooling capacity of the vehicles, which is additionally critical in enhancing the performance and longevity of electric motors and energy systems.

Robert J. Lancellotti , Chairman and Acting CEO of EMOT: “We are pleased to hear of the U.S. Patent Office’s decision. We believe that the patents will help us to complete strategic affiliations with like-minded individuals and companies, and we fully expect to grow Electric Moto Corporation as a result.”

Electric Motorcycle Tax Credit May Be Extended

5 08 2012

PICKERINGTON, OH – August 5, 2012 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Buyers of on-road electric motorcycles would continue to be eligible for up to a $2,500 tax credit under a bill approved by the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, the American Motorcyclist Association reports.

On Aug. 2, the panel approved bipartisan legislation extending dozens of tax breaks, including language offered by U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) to preserve the tax credit for buying electric motorcycles designed for the street.

“Right now, companies like [electric motorcycle maker] Brammo in Oregon are keeping the American electric vehicle industry on the cutting edge, “Wyden said. “But without an extension of this tax credit for the purchase of electric motorcycles, we could be stifling this innovative new industry in its infancy.”

Wayne Allard, AMA vice president for government relations, thanked his former U.S. Senate colleague for his efforts.

“This credit will benefit family-owned dealers, manufacturers and riders of motorcycles,” Allard said. “Also, motorcycles reduce traffic and parking congestion and reduce impacts to our roads and bridges compared with automobiles and light-duty trucks. Electric motorcycles are certain to play an ever-increasing role in motorcycling.”

The measure now goes to the full Senate for consideration.

Xtreme Green Products, Inc. Bringing Electric Hybrid To Market

11 07 2012

Secures Provisional Patent for Electric Hybrid ATV, UTV and other Light Vehicles

LAS VEGAS, NV – July 10, 2012 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Neil Roth, President of Xtreme Green Products, Inc., announced today that Xtreme Green has secured the rights to a provisional patent for electric hybrid versions of their ATV, UTV and other types of specialty light on/off road vehicles.

“We view this as a tremendous opportunity to expand into different markets and serve a wider range of clientele. Imagine limitless range, rapid charging, in minutes and the ability to continue your journey without stopping for 4+, to charge,” said Roth. “The vehicles will have the capability of using propane, gas or diesel fuel.

Primarily, this alleviates the number one fear users of electric vehicles have, which is that they will run “out of energy.”  Xtreme Green expects to have these vehicles available for purchase by the last quarter of 2012.

The patent relates to electric hybrid light vehicles, such as ATVs or UTVs that are configured to run solely using electric motors with the capability of rapid charging during use when the batteries get low.  This patent includes a “Vehicle Management System.” This system powers the vehicle on/off, protects the batteries, balances the charge, provides diagnostic information, and controls the drive system.  Additionally, it relates to a rapid charging system in the 44 -144V range for lithium battery systems and can be used to provide 110V AC current in the field.

“Our specialty electric powered vehicles are comparable to gas/diesel fuel operated ATV and UTV’s.  This new provisional patent allows us to offer an exclusive on electric hybrid vehicles that will dramatically increase our range,” said Roth.

About Xtreme Green Products, Inc.
Xtreme Green is a Las Vegas based eco-vehicle company that specializes in developing revolutionary, electric powered vehicles using proprietary energy management systems and technology. The company’s products are sold to industries such as police, security, farming and mining, commercial purposes and consumer pursuits including hunting.

918 Spyder prototypes begin testing

16 05 2012

Development of the Porsche super sports car enters next phase

ATLANTA, GA – May 15, 2012 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – The Porsche 918 Spyder is on the road: Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, has taken the driving trials of the super sports car of the future a step further with completion of the initial prototypes. The 918 Spyder is planned for production at the end of September 2013, with the first customer deliveries currently scheduled for the United States late in 2013. “What we are doing with the 918 Spyder is redefining driving fun, efficiency and performance,” said Wolfgang Hatz, Member of the Executive Board Research and Development of Porsche AG.

The prototypes, their camouflage harking back to historical Porsche 917 racing cars, signal the final touches to the 918 Spyder. The focus is on the interplay between the highly sophisticated individual drive components. The combination of combustion engine and two independent electric motors – one on the front axle and one in the drive line, acting on the rear wheels – poses completely new demands on the development of the operating strategies. “They are therefore a critical component in this vehicle into which we have put all of our expertise and capacity for innovation,” said Wolfgang Hatz. These operating strategies and the development of the software to go with them are one of Porsche’s core competences. Both of them have a major influence on the extreme driving fun to be had with the 918 Spyder and they make possible a unique combination of minimal fuel consumption and maximum performance. The initial results of the driving trials are in line with the high expectations placed on the 918 Spyder.

The super sports car is designed as a plug-in hybrid vehicle combining a high-performance combustion engine with cutting-edge electric motors for extraordinary performance: on the one hand, the dynamics of a racing machine boasting more than 770 hp, on the other hand, fuel consumption in the region of three litres per 100 kilometres. Moreover, Porsche is breaking yet more new ground with the technology demonstrator with spectacular solutions such as the full carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) monocoque with unit carrier, fully adaptive aerodynamics, adaptive rear-axle steering and the upward-venting “top pipes” exhaust system. In the process, the 918 Spyder is offering a glimpse of what Porsche Intelligent Performance may be capable of in future.
