Renthal Riders Dominating 2012 AMA Supercross Series

Valencia, CA- February 17, 2012 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – As the AMA Supercross series heads to Dallas for round 7 and the first Lites East round, Renthal riders have amassed 6 out of 6 wins in the Supercross class thus far and 3 of 6 wins in the Lites class.  Renthal riders have completely dominated the 450 class this year with the top 4 riders in points all using Renthal bars, grips and sprockets.  Ryan Villopoto has been the most consistent with 3 wins while Chad Reed has shown great speed and consistency with 1 win and 3 seconds.  Ryan Dungey won the Phoenix round but hasn’t been able to put another win together.  James Stewart has been consistently fast but an inconsistent finisher, with only one win, he has his work cut out for him for the remaining rounds if he’s going to secure another SX title.

In the Lites class, Renthal riders Dean Wilson and Cole Seely have secured 3 of the 6 wins thus far in the series, with Dean now sitting atop the point standings and Cole sitting in 3^rd.  Marvin Musquin who has shown the speed to run up front, has had bad luck hinder his chances and sits 4^th in the points.

As for the East Lites contenders, it’s wide open as Renthal supported riders Blake Baggett and Darryn Durham of the Pro Circuit Squad will be facing a very fast Ken Roczen on the Red Bull KTM team.  Saturday night we will find out who is prepared and who isn’t.
