Playboy Energy Drink Revs Into Uk With Help Of Harley-Davidson

9 12 2010

LONDON, UK – December 9, 2010 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Popular model and actress Kelly Brook and Playboy’s 2010 Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk are heading up the UK launch of Playboy Energy Drink, an invigorating beverage that is already available in close to 20 other countries worldwide including the United States, Australia, Eastern Europe and South Africa.

As part of the launch activity both Kelly and Hope have starred in a promotional photoshoot alongside another very special guest – a 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Nightrain – specially modified for the occasion by Shaw Harley-Davidson. The bike company enthusiastically responded to the brief from Playboy Energy Drink, to put an eye catching motorcycle together to promote the brand’s “Party” image and to reflect a sleek and sexy look in keeping with Playboy Energy Drink’s unique ‘night-time’ proposition.

The Shaw Harley-Davidson team revised one of their current bikes and got to work with Image Design Custom in transforming the look and making the bike look like a chilled can of Playboy Energy Drink. The bike chosen was a 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Nightrain, fitted with Roland Sands Domino wheels, rotor and sprocket with a huge 23 inch front wheel. The bike silhouette was perfect, the paintwork used was based on a full RSD Vintage kit, and the Shaw signature oil tank with Goodrich braided oil lines was included.

Lowered front and rear suspension and tracker handlebars with Performance machine controls keep the bike looking low and fast, whilst a sprung solo seat and an open primary from PM with RSD Nostalgia engine covers finished the look of the pimped up Harley-Davidson.

Paintwork excellently represented the new Playboy Energy Drink image, with a highlighted logo appearing in matt teardrop panels in black on the gas tank with a gloss top panel with more satin logos. The logos donning the sides and the feature detail was carried out, Shaw style with the oil tank being painted exactly like the can, and the gas cap being made from the top of one as well. Droplets of water were painted on the tank and fender to give that chilled look of the can to the bike to complete the look.

The magnificently modified bike was also guest of honour alongside Kelly and Hope at the official UK VIP launch event that took place at London’s Funky Buddha nightclub, attended by over 300 media and celebrities including Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. The bike was positioned at the nightclub entrance and enthusiastically received by the media and guests.
