While the newly-crowned champions of American Motocross celebrated their respective titles at Pala Raceway, Ohio National Guard Technician Chris Johnson, was also rejoicing, after being informed one of the best selling models from Honda would soon be arriving on his doorstep.

Beginning in June, the administrative partners of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship introduced a demographic survey, hosted by Turnkey, through the respective Facebook pages of American Motocross and Alli Sports, in addition to the official series website at AlliSports.com. Hundreds of fans throughout the country participated, and by doing so, were entered into a drawing to receive the new 2012 Honda CRF150R. Just before the festivities at the season-ending Traxxas Pala National, a winner was selected at random.

American Motocross to be Well-Represented at 2011 Motocross of Nations This Weekend

MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli Sports Offer Well Wishes to Competitors

MORGANTOWN, WV – September 16, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – This weekend in France will mark the annual FIM Motocross of Nations (MXON), a global motocross competition in which respective countries select three-rider lineups to compete for the Peter Chamberlain Trophy. Since 2005, the trophy has been held by Team USA, which means the fastest riders from the rest of the world will be doing their best to beat the Americans. MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, wish good luck not only to Team USA, but all of the AMA-based riders entered in this weekend’s contest, as well as their counterparts on the Youthstream-organized FIM World Championship tour.

Both 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Champions – Ryan Villopoto (450 Class) and Dean Wilson (250 Class) – will be competing in France, albeit representing different countries. The Monster Energy Kawasaki-backed Villopoto will anchor Team USA’s bid, alongside Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey, and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett. Wilson, who was born in Scotland, will represent Great Britain for the second consecutive year, aboard a Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki of his own. He will be joined by former AMA contender Tommy Searle, as well as Brad Anderson. The British last won this event in 1994, when they upset the Americans and ended a record 13-year winning streak.

Villopoto has represented Team USA on three occasions (2006-2008), and the Americans were victorious each time. In fact, his dominance aboard a 250cc machine at the 2007 MXON is considered one of the single-greatest performances in motocross history. However, after suffering long-term injuries in both the 2009 and 2010 seasons, Villopoto, now a four-time AMA Pro Motocross Champion, was not available to represent the United States. During that time, Ryan Dungey assumed the vacancy, and helped maintain the US winning streak that started back in 2005, with the trio of Ricky Carmichael, Kevin Windham, and Ivan Tedesco. In both cases, Dungey was the individual overall winner of the MX1 class, and has been slotted there for a third year by Team USA Manager Roger DeCoster. Villopoto, who is also this year’s AMA Supercross Champion, will represent Team USA in the MX3 class, an open-displacement category.

As for Baggett, the second-year rider has never even been to Europe prior to this trip, let alone race in the prestigious Motocross of Nations. However, on the heels of a third-place effort in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross 250 Class Championship, in which he garnered a series-leading five wins, Baggett was ready and willing to take the assignment as Team USA’s MX2 rider as they attempt to win seven in-a-row.

Other AMA-based riders participating this weekend for their home nations are highlighted by Australian veterans Chad Reed and Brett Metcalfe, each of whom won rounds in the 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, and finished third and fourth, respectively, in the final 450 Class standings. Additionally, Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin, who joined the AMA tour this year after winning two FIM MX2 World Championships, will ride for the home French team, which also includes former AMA-standout Christophe Pourcel, and Grand Prix race winner Gautier Paulin. Both the Australian and French teams have the depth to challenge Team USA this weekend, and potentially bring the winning streak to an end.

South Africa’s Tyla Rattray and Gareth Swanepoel both hope to get their homeland in contention for at least a podium finish, coming off of career-best seasons in the U.S., respectively. Rockstar Energy/Valli Motorsports Yamaha’s Jimmy Albertson and Washington-based privateer Tommy Weeck will both compete for Puerto Rico, which is a U.S. territory.

Also on the grid will be Sweden’s Fredrik Noren, a rider trying to build a name for himself on the American Motocross tour. Noren competed on the privateer MX Heaven team, and reached the top 20 several times in his first season in the highly-competitive Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

Awaiting all of the AMA-based riders on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean is an incredible and diverse lineup of talent, led by Italy’s Antonio Cairoli, one of the fastest Grand Prix riders of all time. Also competing will be German prodigy Ken Roczen, who recently became his nation’s first FIM World Motocross Champion in over 40 years. 2011 American Motocross Season Celebration Commemorates Memorable Summer of Competition

MORGANTOWN, WV – September 15, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Just one day after the dramatic conclusion of one of the most competitive American Motocross seasons in recent memory, MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, welcomed hundreds of members of the motocross industry to Pechanga Resort & Casino, in Temecula, Calif., for the third annual Season Celebration. An enjoyable evening honored this season’s champions in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship and the AMA ATV Motocross Championship by DWT, in addition to the many individuals who played an integral part in this summer’s success.

Sunday’s celebration served as the final opportunity for all members of the professional motocross community to come together as a whole and pay their respects to the members and moments that highlighted the most prestigious motocross championships on the planet. The top 10 finishers from each class of competition-the 450 Class, 250 Class, WMX Class, and ATV Pro-were given well-deserved recognition for their efforts, while SPEED and NBC Sports announcer Jason Weigandt emceed the evening’s festivities, taking a humorous look back at the 2011 season.

For the first time since 2008, Monster Energy Kawasaki claimed the premier-class title. Ryan Villopoto, who returned to American Motocross full-time this summer after two injury-marred years, earned his fourth AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Throughout the season, Villopoto was challenged relentlessly by Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey and TwoTwo Motorsports/Bel-Ray Racing’s Chad Reed. This trio of global superstars traded victories and points throughout the 12 rounds of competition, and the title wasn’t decided until the checkered flag flew for the final time at Pala Raceway.

In the end, Villopoto compiled an impressive season, led by three overall victories and podium results at each round. He also led the most laps in the 450 Class (144) and possessed the best average finish in the division (2.3). With the 2011 AMA Supercross title to his credit earlier in the season, Villopoto became the 12th rider in AMA history to sweep the season championships, and now, the coveted Edison Dye Motocross Cup will reside at Kawasaki’s headquarters in Irvine, Calif.

Kawasaki also took championship honors in the 250 Class, as Dean Wilson gave Mitch Payton’s Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team its ninth AMA Pro Motocross title. In just his second season of professional competition, the Scotland-born Wilson was statistically the best rider in American Motocross. Although he had the fewest overall wins in the division (three), Wilson led the entire series in moto wins (11), laps led (150), average finish (2.1), and total points (538). He also led the way for the most dominant season in history by one team in this class, as Pro Circuit won all 12 rounds of the season, took the top spot in 23 of 24 motos, and swept the championship podium with Wilson, Tyla Rattray, and Blake Baggett. As a result, the Gary Jones Motocross Cup will be on display at Pro Circuit’s global headquarters in Corona, Calif.

The Motorcycle-Superstore.com Women’s Motocross Championship once again featured a showdown between the division’s two biggest stars-American Honda’s Ashley Fiolek and DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing Yamaha’s Jessica Patterson-adding to their rivalry that has simmered since the 2008 season. After trading victories throughout all eight rounds of competition this summer, Fiolek came out triumphant in the end, securing her third title in four years as a pro and bringing the Women’s Motocross Cup back to Honda’s Torrance, Calif., headquarters following a one-year hiatus.

After one of the most competitive AMA ATV Motocross Championships in history, a familiar name was on top at the conclusion of 11 rounds. Motoworks/Can-Am’s John Natalie, one of the most recognizable names in ATV Motocross, secured his second career title in 2011, outlasting a young, talented field of riders. Natalie took three overall victories in a wild season that was missing the series’ previous two champions, giving the Canadian Can-Am brand its inaugural ATV Motocross Championship and the Gary Denton Motocross Cup.

While the champions of the sport were deservedly honored with special awards, MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli Sports also recognized the most successful first-year riders of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship and AMA ATV Motocross Championship. ARMA Energy/Suzuki City’s Malcolm Stewart was recognized as the Motocross Rookie of the Year, following an 11th-place finish in the 250 Class, while Marissa Markelon concluded her first season in women’s motocross with an impressive sixth-place finish, resulting in WMX Rookie of the Year accolades. In ATV Motocross, Makson Construction/JB Racing Honda rider Joel Hetrick’s two overall wins in the final three rounds vaulted him to fifth in the championship and earned him Rookie of the Year honors for four wheels.

Reed headed into the 2011 season without a ride for the first time in his career, but rather than walk away from the sport, he decided to embark on a new venture and start his own team, TwoTwo Motorsports. After a stellar AMA Supercross season, Reed took the first half of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship by storm, winning four of the first six rounds. At Spring Creek, he experienced what may have been the most frightening crash in the sport’s history, but despite a 30-foot fall, he reentered the race and salvaged his points lead. While his fortunes changed over the second half of the season, Reed never gave up, ultimately transforming from an underdog to a title contender. He experienced a rejuvenation of his career and also returned to the favor of the fans, ultimately becoming the most popular rider in the sport. Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship Notes: Traxxas Pala National

MORGANTOWN, WV – September 9, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – A summer full of the most intense and challenging competition on the planet has come down to a pair of motos across three classes of competition this weekend. Tomorrow, Pala Raceway, located in San Diego County, will host just its second American Motocross event, with the season-ending Traxxas Pala National. The series’ lone stop in Southern California is sure to welcome thousands of motocross fans from throughout the region and the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship comes to a dramatic conclusion.

With one title already in the books in the 250 Class, the focus shifts to the close 450 Class battle that separates Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto and Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey by just 14 points. With three overall wins apiece between the two riders, in addition to incredibly consistent results, points are at a premium with just two motos remaining to crown a champion.

450 Class

Monster Energy Kawasaki
Villopoto entered last weekend’s round at Steel City with little room for error. With eight points in his favor, keeping Dungey at bay would be critical to where he stood come Pala, and Villopoto responded. After following his rival closely throughout the opening moto, Villopoto made one of the most memorable passes in series history coming out of the final turn of the moto, slipping by Dungey mere feet from the finish and stealing the win. He backed up the effort with a dominant second moto to sweep the day and gain maximum points heading into the finale. Now, he will look to simply seal the deal.

“It going to come down to just putting together two solid motos,” said Villopoto. “It’s nice to have a little bit of a cushion in the points because it puts the pressure on (Dungey) to win. I’ll go out there and ride my best, because anything can still happen, but I feel good knowing I’ve done everything I could up to this point.”

Jake Weimer had a strong outing at Steel City. The rookie 450 Class rider battled in the front half of the field throughout both motos, ultimately posting a pair of sixth-place finishes to finish fifth overall and achieve one of his best outings of the season. Weimer currently sits sixth in the championship, and will look to close in on Mike Alessi for fifth before the season comes to an end.

Rockstar/Makita Suzuki
Dungey’s day at Steel City looked as if it was off to a fast start. The defending series champion led throughout the opening moto, and fended off Villopoto’s challenges throughout. However, the last lap pass caught Dungey off guard and ultimately led to a valuable loss of points in the championship. Despite that, he still secured the runner-up finish overall, and enters Pala with a chance at a second straight title. He swept the inaugural race at Pala one year ago, and doesn’t have many other options than to do the same tomorrow.

“I lost a bit of ground, but no excuses,” said Dungey. “We just need to keep our head up and move forward because there’s plenty of racing left. We’re going to Pala next, and to go 1-1 would be great, but all I can ask for is the most from myself. I like that track, and I was able to win both motos there last year, so it’d be great to do it again. I just want to focus on finishing the season strong for Team Rockstar/Makita Suzuki.”

Following his first career win two weeks ago, Brett Metcalfe put forth another strong outing at Steel City. The Australian veteran challenged for the podium in both motos, posting 3-4 scores to once again land on the overall podium in third. No matter what occurs on Saturday, Metcalfe has solidified fourth in the championship.

“Steel City was a great day for me,” said Metcalfe. “I felt really comfortable on the track and the bike was working great, so I knew I was in for a good day. Now, I’m looking forward to Pala. It’s kind of my hometown race. I’m just excited about that. I think it’s going to be a good event and I look forward to putting the Rockstar/Makita Suzuki back up on the podium for a strong finish in the championship.”

TwoTwo Motorsports/Bel-Ray Racing
After terrible luck at Southwick two rounds ago, Chad Reed bounced back with a pair of solid rides at Steel City. The winningest rider in the series was looking to challenge for the podium in both of the day’s motos, and was ultimately a player in the outcome in the end, but Reed’s 5-3 scores left him just two points shy of his Australian counterpart, Metcalfe, once the points were tallied. The fourth-place finish was a good rebound effort for Reed, and he will look to end a five-race hiatus from the podium on Saturday, possibly claiming yet another win before the summer comes to an end. No matter what, Reed will finish the season third in the 450 Class standings.

Red Bull KTM
Despite missing the first two rounds of the season, Mike Alessi has had a strong 2011 season. At Steel City, Alessi finished sixth overall after posting 8-5 moto results. The solid effort helped Alessi maintain his current fifth-place standing in the 450 Class Championship, and he will be looking to end the year on a high note.

“I’m sad for the outdoor series to end, because I love racing motocross,” said Alessi. “I do like Pala and I am looking forward to the last event. After this, it is time to start testing supercross and preparing for the next season.”

American Honda
Justin Barcia has enjoyed his time as a member of the American Honda team. Unfortunately, Steel City marked the young rider’s worst outing since being named to be a part of the factory effort for the remainder of the season. However, even with the misfortune, Barcia maintains a positive outlook and would like nothing more than to win tomorrow afternoon in an effort to show his gratitude to the team.

I used a lot of energy in moto one – I pushed really hard and finished in fourth place. However, I think I over-did it. Come the second moto, I was feeling fatigued and nearing the end of the race, I was overcome by the heat. I thought the safest thing for me to do was pull off, rather than risk hurting myself. I really want to finish the season off on a high note and make the most of this great opportunity Honda has given me to ride for the factory team. I’ll definitely be bringing my A-game to the final round at Pala this weekend!”

Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGR
Justin Brayton missed the first half of the 2011 season, but since his return, he has wasted little time in establishing himself as one of the most consistent riders in the class. At Steel City, that consistency was on display, as Brayton posted a pair of seventh-place finishes to land seventh overall. As a result of his strong riders since returning to competition, Brayton has fought his way into ninth in the 450 Class standings.

250 Class

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki is looking to complete the single-most dominant season by team in history on Saturday, as its four riders gun for an astonishing 12th straight overall victory this summer. With Dean Wilson securing the 250 Class title one week ago, his fellow teammates in Tyla Rattray, Blake Baggett and Broc Tickle will all look to end the season strong for the team, by capturing an historic victory.

For Wilson, his first career title is something he’s dreamed about since he started riding. The Scottish rider has been the most consistent rider in the entire series, boasting more points and a better average finish than any other rider, in either class. Wilson dominated at Pala one year ago, and will look to do the same in front of family in friends and put an exclamation point on his championship.

“I’m so happy to have wrapped up the title,” said Wilson. “At first, I was bummed because my parents weren’t there to enjoy it with me, but now that it’s over, I can just go out there and have fun this weekend with no pressure. I ride my best when I’m just enjoying myself, so I hope can get another win for my mom and dad.”

Rattray and Baggett are currently engaged in battle for the runner-up spot in the championship. Rattray’s four victories and Baggett’s five are the most in the division, and each rider will want to cap the year off in the best way possible tomorrow. As of now, only nine points separate the two riders heading into the final pair of motos.

GEICO Honda
Eli Tomac’s recent surge has helped vault him into fourth in the 250 Class standings. At Steel City, Tomac looked eager to grab his second career win. Following a strong runner-up finish in the first moto, Tomac took charge in Moto 2, passing for the lead and putting himself in position to win. However, he settled for second in the end, garnering his best finish of the season in the runner-up position overall.

DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing Yamaha
Kyle Cunningham has had a rough couple weeks. At Steel City, Cunningham finished 11th overall, on the heels of scoring no points just one week prior. As a result, he fell from fourth to fifth in the 250 Class standings, and will be looking to reclaim the position tomorrow with a pair of solid rides.

Gareth Swanepoel has been one of the strongest riders in the class over the second half of the season. At Steel City, Swanepoel finished fifth overall, after posting 7-6 moto scores. He currently sits sixth in the 250 Class standings, within striking distance of his teammate for fifth.

WMX Class

Like their male counterparts, the Motorccycle-Superstore.com Women’s Motocross Championship will also crown a champion tomorrow afternoon. Currently, American Honda’s Ashley Fiolek sits is position to claim her third WMX Class title in four years, boasting a 22-point lead over DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing Yamaha’s Jessica Patterson, the defending champion. Last weekend at Steel City, Patterson dominated en route to her fourth win of the year, but will have her work cut out for her on Saturday if she is to repeat as champion.

Ryan Dungey Earns Ricky Carmichael Hard Charger Award

MORGANTOWN, WV – August 31, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – In winning the first 450 Class moto at Southwick’s Moto-X 338, defending Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Champion Ryan Dungey had already put in a hard day’s work. The Rockstar Energy/Makita Suzuki rider had to hold back not only the late charge of his championship rival Ryan Villopoto, but also the deteriorating elements, as Hurricane Irene was approaching the legendary Massachusetts motocross track. But then an electrical malfunction with the race bike left Dungey’s entire team back in the pits scrambling to discover and fix the problem before the start of the second moto. That’s when the real work started!

Despite their best efforts, the event began without Dungey’s #1 motorcycle on the grid. As soon as master mechanic Mike Gosselaar could sort out the problem and get the engine running, he raced the bike down to starting line. Dungey started his race nearly a full lap behind the rest of the pack but, in heroic fashion, rode as fast as he could through the treacherous rain, picking off riders left and right. By the time the 30 minutes plus two laps of racing were complete, Dungey had climbed from 39th position all the way up to seventh. In passing 32 competitors he both salvaged his hopes of repeating as champion and laid claim to this week’s Ricky Carmichael Hard Charger Award.

Dungey has been locked in battle with Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Villopoto all summer long and, after a close first-moto win, had trimmed Villopoto’s championship lead to four points. Had the equipment malfunction prevented him from starting moto two, he would have been faced with a 25-point deficit.

Having retrieved his now-running bike from Gosselaar on the line, Dungey actually stalled it for a moment before re-firing the engine. The crowd roared as the #1 rider jumped out onto the racetrack just ahead of eventual moto winner Justin Barcia of the GEICO Honda tea. The fans stuck him with as he climbed steadily back through the field.

At the halfway point, Dungey was still not in the top 20, but once he got into a points-paying position, he picked up his furious pace even more. When he took the checkered flag in seventh, he was just three spots behind Villopoto, the series points leader. Despite the drama, Dungey still left Southwick just eight championship points behind Villopoto with two rounds remaining in the series: this weekend at Steel City Raceway in Delmont, Pa., and the grand finale on September 10 at Pala Raceway above San Diego, Calif.

For his dedication in the extreme conditions of Southwick, Ryan Dungey will be presented with the Ricky Carmichael Hard Charger Award at Saturday’s pre-race riders’ meeting prior to the Steel City National in Delmont. MX Sports Pro Racing Announces Third Annual American Motocross Season Celebration Following Traxxas Pala National

Celebration Will Recognize the Champions and Achievements of 2011 Season

MORGANTOWN, WV – August 23, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – One day after the checkered flag falls at the Traxxas Pala National on September 10, bringing the 2011 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship to a close, the celebration will continue on Sunday evening. MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, will host the third annual American Motocross Season Celebration from Pechanga Resort & Casino, in Temecula, Calif., celebrating this summer’s champions, and the many moments that made 2011 one of the most memorable seasons in history. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. PST.

On Sunday, September 11, the teams and riders of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship and the AMA ATV Motocross Championship by DWT, along with many members of the motocross industry, will gather to honor the title winners in the 450 Class, 250 Class, WMX Class and Pro ATV Class. The festivities will be emceed by SPEED and NBC host Jason Weigandt, along with trackside public address announcer Tim Cotter. The two respective voices of American Motocross will take a look back at all each round of the two- and four-wheeled motocross championships, and the highlights that shaped how the titles unfolded in each division.

Headlining the several awards that will be handed out that evening are the coveted Edison Dye Motocross Cup, for the 450 Class, the Gary Jones Motocross Cup, for the 250 Class, and the Gary Denton Motocross Cup, for Pro ATV – with each trophy being awarded to the rider and team that claimed each respective championship. Additionally, the Women’s Motocross Cup will be presented to the rider and team that captured the WMX Class title.

All four of the respective 2011 champions will have their chance in the spotlight, receiving their own trophy and distinguished medal, commemorating their achievement, and serving as the ideal complement to the exclusive number one plates that will adorn their bikes the following season. MX Sports Pro Racing will also recognize the 2011 Sportsman of the Year, which is given to the rider that exhibited the determination and class often identified with the most renowned names in the sport, as well as hand out Rookie of the Year accolades to the top first-year rider in each class.

Moreover, the Team Manager of the Year, Motocross Team of the Year, and Transport Driver of the Year will give credit to people behind the scenes of American Motocross. Gareth Swanepoel Battles from the Back to Claim Ricky Carmichael Hard Charger Award at Unadilla

MORGANTOWN, WV – August 18, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – The Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship’s return to action from Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin, N.Y., last weekend, resulted in exceptional competition from the world’s best motocross athletes. After a pair of grueling motos in both the 450 and 250 classes, on one of the most challenging tracks in the world, DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing Yamaha’s Gareth Swanepoel showcased tremendous resolve to claim this week’s Ricky Carmichael Hard Charger Award.

After a stellar opening moto in the 250 Class, in which he battled at the front of the field to finish fourth, Swanepoel encountered misfortune in his search for a spot on the overall podium. Following the chaotic opening lap of competition in the final moto, in which riders fight tooth-and-nail for a good start, Swanepoel crossed the line in 37th, after encountering trouble. For the remainder of the near 35-minute moto, the South African battled his peers, fighting for his chance to post a season-best effort.

While Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson grabbed the checkered flag at the conclusion of 17 laps, Swanepoel’s resilient ride landed him 16th, surpassing an impressive 21 riders during the moto. As a result of his committed effort, Swanepoel finished eighth overall, thanks to 4-16 moto scores.

For his dedication at Unadilla, Swanepoel will be presented with the Ricky Carmichael Hard Charger Award at next Saturday’s pre-race riders’ meeting, prior to the Rockstar Energy Southwick National from Southwick, Mass. The announcement will provide well-deserved recognition for his efforts in front of his peers.

Another athlete that emulated the trademark relentless pursuit of achievement regularly displayed by the award’s namesake was Red Bull KTM’s Mike Alessi. While Alessi had a solid day at Unadilla, posting 7-4 moto scores en route to fifth overall, he overcame adversity at the championship’s previous stop from Washougal Motocross Park. At the series’ eighth round of the summer, Alessi surpassed 21 riders in the opening 450 Class moto to climb from 30th to ninth, helping him finish sixth overall. The amount of competitor’s Alessi passed was the same amount as Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jake Weimer, who was given the award. In recognition of his great ride, Alessi will be presented with his own RC Hard Charger Award at Southwick, alongside Swanepoel, next weekend.
