Scorpion Springs Ahead!

Spring 2011 Catalog Release, National Sales
Meeting & Plenty of New Product

LAKE FOREST, CA  – March 4, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Don’t forget to set your clocks forward as we “spring ahead” for Daylight Savings Time on March 13th. Of course the crew at Scorpion is way ahead of the game, already releasing the Spring 2011 catalog and a host of new ExoWear apparel! In order to give their network of independent sales reps a heads up before the annual trade shows, the wraps came off the new gear a couple weeks before Indy during Scorpion and Leatt’s joint National Sales Meeting, but we were sworn to secrecy before the Dealer Expo.

Leatt’s GM Phil Davy and Scorpion Sports National Sales Manager Jon Eide co-hosted the joint National Sales Meeting for 50 of the nation’s top independent sales reps back in January. “The information presented here was on a need to know basis, and we couldn’t wait for the trade shows to clue our reps in on what is coming,” explains Eide. Coinciding with the sales meeting was the launch of Scorpion’s Spring 2011 catalog, headed up by the “Superior Species” EXO 500 helmets and trick new togs like the Kingdom jacket for the ladies the Torque jacket for men.

“We just couldn’t wait for the Dealer Expo to show off the new helmets and riding gear featured in the Spring 2011 catalog,” claims Eide. “Instead, we teamed up with Leatt to really do something special for the ISRs (Independent Sales Reps) who have been calling on dealers across the country with samples of the 2011 ExoWear and copies of the catalog for a full four weeks prior to the dealer show.”

The two-day session kicked off with Eide treating the reps to a shot of 5-Hour Energy and then turning the always fiery Phil Davy loose to address the amped-up ISRs. Scorpion President Rick Miller also used the sales meeting to dispel some of the rumors he had been hearing. “There is absolutely no truth to the allegation that Scorpion Sports Inc. has been sold! In fact we just renewed the lease on our Lake Forest facility for another two years… on top of expanding the new Warranty Center in another building,” said Miller. “The new products are in the warehouse and the new catalogs are out now… Scorpion Sports is here to stay!”

The good news is that you don’t need to be an ISR, industry insider or even attend the Dealer Expo to get a look at the latest ExoWear and helmets from Scorpion. Simply visit your local dealer or click onto http://www.scorpionusa.com for a first-hand look at the evolutionary EXO 500 and access to a downloadable version of the Spring 2011 e-catalog.

EVOLUTION OF A SUPERIOR SPECIES Scorpion’s EXO 500 Evolves…

9 02 2011

LAKE FOREST, CA – February 9, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Scorpion’s all-new EXO 500 marks the Evolution of a Superior Species of helmet. Intended to raise the bar when it comes to customer expectations of a “standard” full-face helmet, the EXO 500 gets all the technical features and benefits of the top-of-the-line Scorpion helmet, but costs less.

Notice the sharp aerodynamic ridge on the underside of the helmet? This is definitely an evolutionary move forward! The EXO 500 started with an all-new shell for superior protection (actually the shell comes in three different sizes for a superior fit as well). “The EXO 500 was inspired by the fit and levels of protection offered by our top-of-the-line helmet,” explains Scorpion’s National Sales Manager Jon Eide. “But it is even better in many respects.”

It is equipped with the same evolutionary SpeedShift® quick-change shield system, Airfit® helmet inflation technology and state-of-the-art ventilation system found in Scorpion’s high end helmets, “but chances are the new EXO 500 will steal the show from the much more expensive helmets for riders looking to buy the best helmet for the best price,” adds Eide. The EXO 500 also meets or exceeds ECE/DOT safety standards.

Scorpion’s exclusive SpeedView® integrated retractable sunvisor comes standard on the EXO 500. However, the new lid gets the updated KwickWickII® comfort liner and triple density foam cheek pads. When combined with the Airfit® inflation system and three shell sizes, “you really can’t find a better fitting, more comfortable helmet at the price point,” points out Eide. “This helmet has all the bells and whistles at a fraction of the price.”

As the hyper TV pitchmen always say, “But wait, there’s more!” Not only does this helmet come in classic solid colors, check out the cool new Oil, Ardent and Bio-Metal graphics which can be matched to a wide array of blacked-out, tinted or mirrored EverClear® faceshields.
