Triple Crown RMR Signs Daytona Anderson

23 01 2013

January 23, 2013 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Triple Crown RMR announced today that Daytona Anderson will ride a MotoSport.com Yamaha R6 for the upcoming 2013 season. Daytona will campaign the entire season in the AMA SuperSport series.

Daytona-Portrait“I’m so excited to be a part of the MotoSport.com Triple Crown RMR Racing Team for 2013 and start my AMA professional career with a team of this caliber,” said Daytona. “I met the Triple Crown team at Laguna Seca this past year and we’ve kept in touch since then. At the CCS race in Daytona Beach we were pitted right next to Stefano Mesa and his crew. I was impressed with their operation and had high hopes of ending up on a team like that. I’m excited to be a part of the team and I am 100% ready to give it my all! I want to thank MotoSport.com, Triple Crown / RMR Racing, Jon Boucher, and Next Moto Champion for putting this deal together, along with all my family and friends!”

“The first time I met Daytona at Laguna I was impressed,” stated Dave Brite. “After that weekend I took a look at his recent results and was even more impressed with what he was able to do on the West Coast against some solid competition. From that point on I started keeping tabs on Daytona Anderson and was hoping that we could find a way to get him on the MotoSport.com team this year for his professional debut. I think he’s going to surprise some people.”

Southern California has been known as the proving grounds for emerging talent in road racing. With tracks like Auto Club Speedway, Willow Springs, Button Willow, and Chuckwalla all within driving distance, it’s the perfect place to live if you’re looking for some seat time. Daytona Anderson has grown up on these tracks over the last couple of years and this year he will make the transition to the professional ranks of the SuperSport class in AMA Pro Racing. The 16-year old out of Riverside, California had a stellar season as he took home numerous championships in the WERA West Series against some of the fastest riders in the country. Daytona took home the 600 C SuperBike Championship, 750 B SuperStock Championship and the 750 B SuperBike Championship. If his professional career is anything like his amateur career then it won’t be long before everyone knows the name Daytona Anderson.

Daytona-Wheelie-Cropped

“His name is Daytona, how can you go wrong,” said Richie Morris. “He is a good young rider with a great future. I think he will find a home with us for a while. We are looking forward to a great season.”

All Triple Crown RMR media and websites are scheduled to be out Feb 1st. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements.

Garrett Gerloff and His Graves Motorsports Prepped Yamaha R6 are Champions at GNF

3 11 2011

KENNESAW, GA – November 2, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – This has been a momentous season for Graves Yamaha rider Garrett Gerloff. Great things were expected from this rising star, and boy did he deliver!

All season the youngster brought home win after win in WERA sprint races, rode in a team effort to an Endurance win, at NJMP won his first ever AMA Pro race (the first ever to win their first AMA Pro race and the youngest ever to win an AMA Pro race), and to cap off the year, Gerloff added two more race wins culminating in a Championship and runner-up (by just a few points) at last weekend’s WERA GNF at Road Atlanta. The kid and his Yamaha R6 are unstoppable!

“I was super happy to finish off the year strong with two race wins and a championship,” said Gerloff, “This year has been a blast and I learned a lot. I am really looking forward to racing in the AMA next year. I couldn’t have done it without my crew chief, Brian Stokes, my dad and mom, Graves Motorsports and all of my other sponsors.”

Brian Stokes, crew chief for Gerloff, has watched the talented rider progress in his craft. “It has been another awesome year working with Garrett,” said Stokes, “He learned a lot this year and he’s really coming into his own. Big thanks goes out to Graves Motorsports for the great equipment.”

Owner of Graves Motorsports, Chuck Graves, was impressed with Gerloff’s performance over the season. “Garrett did an amazing job this year,” said Graves, “Bringing home race wins and a Championship is no simple task and I am glad that we could be part of his success. Garrett uses our WORKS program and I am extremely excited to see the efforts that we at Graves and Yamaha have been putting into the Graves WORKS program continues to get results.”

After such an impressive 2011 season, 2012 looks to be even more promising for Gerloff. We can hardly wait to see what he has in store!

Graves Motorsports’ Newest Star Garrett Gerloff Gives a Banner Performance at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway’s WERA National

14 04 2011

KENNESAW, GA – April 14th, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Recent Graves Yamaha-signed rider Garrett Gerloff logged yet another stellar weekend of racing in the books this past weekend at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway’s WERA National.

Gerloff attributes much of his weekend’s success to excellent set-up on his Graves prepped Yamaha R6. “We set up the bike almost perfectly on Friday with help from my crew chief, Brian Stokes, and qualified on pole for the 600 Superstock race,” said Gerloff. “Saturday morning we tested some different set-ups, working to get the bike more comfortable for me. By the end of Saturday we had it dialed-in and after testing the new set-up again Sunday morning, I knew we had a strong bike for the races.”

After a smart and solid battle for the win, the young Graves rider earned 2nd place, a mere two-tenths behind first place finisher Jake Lewis. Ever the perfectionist, 2nd place wasn’t enough for Gerloff. “I was really bummed out and wanted to get us back on the top step of the podium.”

Gerloff wasted no time in getting back on top of the box, winning the 600 Superbike race. Putting pressure on his opponent and capitalizing on a mistake, Gerloff put his head down and not only took the lead but put a two second gap between himself and the 2nd place finisher. “I’d like to give a big thank you to all my sponsors for another great weekend,” exclaimed an exuberant Gerloff.

Garrett Gerloff is sponsored by Graves Motorsports, Monster Energy, Yamaha Motor Corp., Dunlop, Ohlins, GBehavior, Shoei, REV ‘IT, Sidi, Leatt Braces, Vortex, Pit Bull, Chicken Hawk, DrippinWet.com

Graves Motorsports Signs Garrett Gerloff

18 03 2011

KENNESAW, GA – March 18, 2011 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Graves Motorsports has added another young thoroughbred to their stable of champions. Fifteen-year-old Garret Gerloff of Vero Beach, FL has been welcomed into the Graves Yamaha fold.

The up-and-coming Gerloff already has an impressive resume. Some of his recent accomplishments include the 2010 Indy Moto GP Moriwaki Challenge Champion and the 2010 WERA 600 Superbike Expert National Champion.

In 2011 the young speed dynamo, astride his Graves prepped Yamaha R6, will contest the WERA National Challenge Series until August when he’ll become old enough to compete in the AMA SuperSport class.

“I can’t wait to get this season underway,” said Gerloff. “I’m really excited for this awesome opportunity to ride under the Graves Motorsports banner this year. They have the race experience and knowledge I need to help me be successful this season. I’d like to thank Graves, Yamaha, and all my other sponsors for their support.”

Team owner Chuck Graves is always on the lookout for raw talent and future stars. When Graves witnessed Gerloff’s racing skills during the 2010 WERA National Challenge Series, he knew he was watching a star in the making.

“Garrett displayed tremendous potential at the age of 14, winning multiple races in the 600 Super Stock Class against riders with more experience,” said Graves. “But it wasn’t just his riding talent that caught my attention, it was also his ability to articulate his professional racing goals and his clearly defined plan of reaching those goals.”

“Everyone at the Graves Motorsports/Yamaha Motor Corp. camp is excited about working with Garrett and the Gerloff family,” added Graves. “Garrett’s goals are in direct alignment with ours.”

In addition to Graves and Yamaha, Gerloff will also enjoy support from energy drink giant, Monster Energy. “Motorcycle roadracing is a core sports marketing platform at Monster Energy and we are constantly seeking out the very best talent to represent our dedication and desire to win.” said Alex Dunstan, Motorsports Manager at Monster Energy. “Garrett exemplifies the bright future of American roadracing with his already impressive resume, professionalism and limitless potential. We look forward to watching Garrett’s ascent through the ranks to one day join his fellow Monster Energy teammates; Valentino Rossi, Ben Spies, Marco Simoncelli, Cal Crutchlow and Colin Edwards in MotoGP!”
